Zumor.com -- Zumor

Zumor.com -- Zumor
________________
If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.
-- Mario Andretti
____________________________

We believe that "Zumor" ought to brand something very fast: a car, bike, skateboard, airplane, skates, etc. It just has that fast feel and sound.

Radio test: "Zumor" does not really pass. Listeners will hear "zoomer," so if you plan to use extensive radio spots, we recommend that you find another name. Your announcer could spell it out:

"Z-U-M-O-R-dot-com"

But we think the listener will still hear "zoomer."

The good news: this name would do well in a visual ad compaign: TV, Internet, and print.

"Zumor" and its variations ("Zum or", "Sumor," and "Sum or") do not appear on the USPTO.gov data bases.

Zorav.com -- Zorav
______________
What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
--William Shakespeare

"Zorav," an unusual and strong first name, could also represent a company or brand/service. This name could also represent a tech company.

No trademarks were found on "Zorav" or "Sorav" on the USPTO.gov data base.

Zatav.com -- Zatav

Zatav.com -- Zatav
_________
“Your premium brand had better be delivering something special, or it's not going to get the business.”
– Warren Buffett
________________________________

"Zatav" would be a strong name for a tech company or a brand.

We like the idea of using the "T" as an all-inclusive tent encompassing the other four letters -- perhaps symbolic of a healthy company culture.

"Zatav" is an attractive strong masculine name, suggesting a website focusing on male preferences and issues. This term is also a desirable "consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant" configuration, prized by many start-ups.

No trademarks were found on Zatav or similar terms at USPTO.gov.

zyTyz.com -- zytyz

zyTyz.com -- zyTyz
___________
The things that stand out are often the oddities.
-- Pierre Salinger
______________________________

Admittedly, "zyTyz" is a somewhat tricky name, a mouthful that would definitely NOT pass the radio test. It is pronounceable ("y" acting in place of "i"), but this term is not for a strictly aural medium.

Moreover, except for a few user names, it has no generic root meaning that we can find or discern.

What we do like (and believe that a forward-thinking company might like) is its visual symmetry, increasingly important in a visual culture.

This palindrome with the letter "T" in the middle offers many great opportunities to develop a logo in a most creative and unique manner; we like the idea of the letter "T" acting as a tent, an all-inclusive symbol for a company's core values.

Also, if you want a 5-letter palindrome "consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant" domain with "T" as the middle letter, good luck finding available domains. In this case, "y" acts as a vowel (an "i" sound). For "Z" fans, there are only 6 and all are already owned. For any CVCVC domain with the desirable "T" as the middle letter, there are only 126 palindrome possibilities (including "y" as both a consonant and vowel).

We are the first owners of this domain, which means it has never been used for any nefarious purposes, so your company would be using a clean term--no nasty issues regarding former usage. This pure domain is ready for the search-engine love that it deserves.

We found no trademarks on "zytyz," "Zyt yz," "Zyt," "sytyz," or "sytys" on USPTO.gov. There are two live marks on "Syt" (disclosed only because "Z" and "S" are close to each other on the qwerty keyboard).

Zanak.com -- Zanak

Zanak.com -- Zanak
_________
“For a truly effective social campaign, a brand needs to embrace the first principles of marketing, which involves brand definition and consistent storytelling.”
--Simon Mainwaring
_____________________

“Zanak” suggests to us a character or a video game. It would also be a good company or brand name for just about any business or brand.

In reality, “Zanak” is an open-ended name, one on which you can define your brand and build your own company narrative.

Keep in mind that brands like Verizon, Xerox, Kleenex, and TASER (Acronym for “Thomas A. Smith's Electric Rifle”) have been built on non-words, coined by their creators to impart meaning about a brand.

“Zanak” also appears to be a last name.

“Zanak” is a “consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant” configuration, a very desirable pattern for start-up companies. This word pattern is nearly impossible to find, except on the domain aftermarket.

As of 8/15/2013, the term “Zanak” was not found on the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases.

Ziqus.com -- Ziqus (ziQus)

Ziqus.com -- Ziqus
________
Avoid demonizing television, computer games, and new technologies. Electronic media may compete for kids' attention, but we're not going to get kids reading by badmouthing other entertainment. Admit that TV and games can do things books can't.
-- Jon Scieszka
______________________________

"Ziqus" or "ziQus" suggests a type of video game or playful company name. Capitalizing the "Q" really makes this name pop visually -- never underestimate the power of "Q" in a product or company name. This Q works especially well because of the organic "u" that follows it, for (in English), "u" almost always follows "q."

This name also follows the "consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant" pattern, a very desirable configuration for products and company names.

This name sort of passes the radio test, although listeners might hear and see "zikus" or "zicus"; but if you are selling computer games, you won't be advertising on radio, now will you? Ziqus works best as a visual name in visual media: internet, TV, billboard, magazines, etc.

One of the best aspects: Ziqus does not appear on the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases, nor does there seem to be any ancillary marks to worry about.

Zalat.com -- Zalat

Zalat.com -- Zalat
_______________

The real names of our people were destroyed during slavery. The last name of my forefathers was taken from them when they were brought to America and made slaves, and then the name of the slave master was given, which we refuse, we reject that name today and refuse it. I never acknowledge it whatsoever.

-- Malcolm X

_______________________

"Zalat" is just one of those strong names that seems to be perfect for a up-and-coming tech company. It is a short, appealing name that consists of the highly desirable consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant (CVCVC) configuration; these types of names are difficult to find and getting more difficult.

"Zalat" also seems to be a last name, albeit unusual.

As of 8/12/2013, no trademark on "Zalat" was found on the USPTO.gov and Trademarkia.com data bases. A quick check on Google does not turn up use in commerce, but with all short names like this, it is always good to conduct a more thorough search before purchasing.

Zogos.com -- Zogos

Zogos.com -- Zogos
_______________

True happiness comes from the joy of deeds well done, the zest of creating things new.

--Antoine de Saint-Exupery
_____________________

“Zogos” = “Logos with Zest”

Five-letter business name, possibly for a commercial artist who makes his or her living as a logo creator.

The webmaster may keep this one, especially if her logo skills keep improving and if she can find some more artist's tools for logo work.

However, a very attractive offer could persuade her to sell in a New York minute.

Some cautions: a restaurant in California is using “Zogos” as part of its business name: Zogo's Burgers. This probably will not be a problem--as long as the buyer does not use the Zogos' name for a restaurant, especially in California.

Also, there are two live trademarks for the singular “Zogo”: a skateboard  company and a mobile and wireless online carrier--this is actually good news, since the USPTO has issued trademarks to more than one business. This suggests that the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office has deemed that the term “Zogo” may be trademarked by non-competing businesses.

Zogo.com appears to be a dating site, owned by Wireless Introduction Network Corporation, the same company holding the trademark on the wireless online carrier.

As of 7/27/2013, the plural “Zogos” does not appear on USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com.

Before making an offer on this domain, be sure to do further research on possible trademark issues and conflicts.

Zaxaz.com -- Zaxaz

Zaxaz.com -- Zaxaz
_____________

When the tech geeks talk, I pay close attention.

-- Gary Vaynerchuk
__________________________

"Zaxaz" seems like a good techie name for a tech company. This name is unique in that it is a short palindrome, which means the word reads the same in reverse as it does forward. There is a sweet symmetry to such names, as depicted in the logo.

Also, short palindromes are difficult to find in .com; most of them are already registered; "Zaxaz" was acquired on the aftermarket.

One caveat: if you plan to do a lot of radio advertising, this probably isn't the right brand name for your company because it is a mouthful to pronounce. But if your company plans to do mostly visual advertising, then Zaxaz would be perfect.

As of 7/23/2013, No trademarks for Zaxaz were found on USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com.
