At first glance, we thought that "ZZZco" was the best choice for a company main site, but the more we thought about it, we decided to feature "ZZZ Company" in first place, even though it's longer.

"ZZZ Company" is a snappy, interesting, and memorable term and would work best for sleep products and/or services. Lack of sleep seems to be a major 21st Century malady, affecting just about everyone who lives a modern life. Your product or service, whatever it may be, can help the modern insomniac find rest between the sheets.

Radio Test: While both terms are primarily visual, they can pass the radio test IF:

For ZZZCompany.com, the announcer spells out each "Z" individually and pronounces "Company" (a common word), for example:

"Z-Z-Z-Com-pa-ny-dot-com"

 For ZZZco.com, the announcer spells out each letter individually:

"Z-Z-Z-C-O-dot-com"

But we see these terms as primarily visual, perfect for a company planning to advertise primarily on TV, internet, billboards, and print.

One caveat: if you plan to use either term for an over-the-counter sleep or prescription medicine, please consult with a trademark attorney before buying this domain. There is already a product called "ZZZquil," and these terms may cause branding confusion. For other products and services, there should be no problem because the terms "ZZZ Company," "ZZZCompany," "ZZZco," and "ZZZ Co" were not found on USPTO.gov. “ZZZ US” and “ZZZ USA” can mean only one thing: comfortable sleep and all that contributes to that goal.

These are two of the best sleep names on the market because the brand (with an emphasis on “us” or “U.S.”/“U.S.A”) hones in on what is most important: the national obsession with sleep and lack thereof. Your product, whatever it is, can help solve the national sleep debt singlehandedly. If your product can pull off this miracle–and these terms are good starts–then your customers will be happy and well-rested, and your company and its profit margins will make you and your stockholders very happy.

“ZZZ us” should be considered a visual as opposed to an aural brand name. “ZZZ us” might be difficult to advertise on the radio, unless the speaker spells out each “Z.” Because it is such a short name and the “ZZZ” a familiar symbol for sleep, this is not a major impediment, but the pronunciation may be muted on radio spots.

On the other hand, “ZZZ USA” lends itself very well to radio spots, and here's why: by pronouncing each letter and including the TLD (Z Z Z U S A dot com), with emphasis on “U.S.A” (invoking a patriotic company), you can create a natural sounding jingle. Using the rule of three, sing three times, and your customers will remember your web address. In many ways, ZZZUSA.com is superior to ZZZus, although it is longer. The vowel-less ZZZNN breaks just about every conventional rule for branding a company or product, but, with its repeating letters, it does offer a visual appeal and is pretty clear that it has something to do with sleep and/or sleep products:

The ZZZ is clear in its meaning; the NN could be the initials for your company:

Kidding aside, while unpronounceable, this is an easy set of letters to remember.
