Ziqus.com -- Ziqus (ziQus)

Ziqus.com -- Ziqus
________
Avoid demonizing television, computer games, and new technologies. Electronic media may compete for kids' attention, but we're not going to get kids reading by badmouthing other entertainment. Admit that TV and games can do things books can't.
-- Jon Scieszka
______________________________

"Ziqus" or "ziQus" suggests a type of video game or playful company name. Capitalizing the "Q" really makes this name pop visually -- never underestimate the power of "Q" in a product or company name. This Q works especially well because of the organic "u" that follows it, for (in English), "u" almost always follows "q."

This name also follows the "consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant" pattern, a very desirable configuration for products and company names.

This name sort of passes the radio test, although listeners might hear and see "zikus" or "zicus"; but if you are selling computer games, you won't be advertising on radio, now will you? Ziqus works best as a visual name in visual media: internet, TV, billboard, magazines, etc.

One of the best aspects: Ziqus does not appear on the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases, nor does there seem to be any ancillary marks to worry about.

Zalat.com -- Zalat

Zalat.com -- Zalat
_______________

The real names of our people were destroyed during slavery. The last name of my forefathers was taken from them when they were brought to America and made slaves, and then the name of the slave master was given, which we refuse, we reject that name today and refuse it. I never acknowledge it whatsoever.

-- Malcolm X

_______________________

"Zalat" is just one of those strong names that seems to be perfect for a up-and-coming tech company. It is a short, appealing name that consists of the highly desirable consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant (CVCVC) configuration; these types of names are difficult to find and getting more difficult.

"Zalat" also seems to be a last name, albeit unusual.

As of 8/12/2013, no trademark on "Zalat" was found on the USPTO.gov and Trademarkia.com data bases. A quick check on Google does not turn up use in commerce, but with all short names like this, it is always good to conduct a more thorough search before purchasing.

Zwapo.com -- Zwapo

Zwapo.com -- Zwapo
________________
I like the idea that every page in every book can have a gem on it. It's probably what I love most about writing - that words can be used in a way that's like a child playing in a sandpit, rearranging things, swapping them around.
-- Markus Zusak
_______________________________

"Zwapo" is just one of those non-words that should be a word; indeed, the root word "Zwap" is a play on the word "swap." Certainly, Zwapo would be a great swap meet website or brand for a company that organizes physical swap meets and other trade events.

Also, "Zwap" is listed in the Urban Dictionary as "someone getting hit by an object or person at a high velocity." One sees this word quite a bit in fast-action comic books as superheroes and villains duke it out.

Zwapo is a fast-action term, perhaps describing a screaming fast software program or game -- this term also suggests a techie type word, through and through.

While "Zwapo" does not appear in the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases, the term is in commercial use in the Netherlands (See zwapo.nl) for the sales of pre-fab log cabins (Blokhutten). If you plan to do business in the Netherlands and/or sell pre-fab buildings, you might want to consider another name for your business or product. In any case, please consult with a trademark lawyer with any questions you might have about this domain and its potential as a trademark for your product or service.

ZZZus.com and ZZZUSA.com -- ZZZus or ZZZ US; ZZZUSA or ZZZ USA

ZZZus.com-- ZZZ US
______________

ZZZusa.com -- ZZZ USA
______________

It is a common experience that a problem difficult at night is resolved in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked on it.
-- John Steinbeck
____________________________

“ZZZ US” and “ZZZ USA” can mean only one thing: comfortable sleep and all that contributes to that goal.

These are two of the best sleep names on the market because the brand (with an emphasis on “us” or “U.S.”/“U.S.A”) hones in on what is most important: the national obsession with sleep and lack thereof. Your product, whatever it is, can help solve the national sleep debt singlehandedly. If your product can pull off this miracle–and these terms are good starts–then your customers will be happy and well-rested, and your company and its profit margins will make you and your stockholders very happy.

“ZZZ us” should be considered a visual as opposed to an aural brand name. “ZZZ us” might be difficult to advertise on the radio, unless the speaker spells out each “Z.” Because it is such a short name and the “ZZZ” a familiar symbol for sleep, this is not a major impediment, but the pronunciation may be muted on radio spots.

On the other hand, “ZZZ USA” lends itself very well to radio spots, and here's why: by pronouncing each letter and including the TLD (Z Z Z U S A dot com), with emphasis on “U.S.A” (invoking a patriotic company), you can create a natural sounding jingle. Using the rule of three, sing three times, and your customers will remember your web address. In many ways, ZZZUSA.com is superior to ZZZus, although it is longer. But that is for the buyer to decide.

Both domains would display well on TV, the Internet, and billboards.

As of 8/8/2013, no trademarks were found for these terms (ZZZus, ZZZ US, ZZZusa, or ZZZ USA) at USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com.

________________________

"Zeome" or "Zeo Me" suggests a trendy tech start up, a perfect meme name. This name could also represent a company that manufactures hardware, tools, building supplies, etc.

As of 8/8/2013, "Zeome" or "Zeo Me" were not found in the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases. However, there are several trademarks on "Zeo" for various products and services -- actually good news because this suggests that it is not an exclusive mark. If you have any concerns, please consult with a trademark lawyer before purchasing.

Zolii.com -- Zolii or Zol ii

Zolii.com -- Zolii or Zol II
_______________

I think people need to be educated to the fact that marijuana is not a drug. Marijuana is an herb and a flower. God put it here. If He put it here and He wants it to grow, what gives the government the right to say that God is wrong?
-- Willie Nelson
_______________________________

According to the Urban Dictionary, "Zol" is South African slang for a "marijuana joint"; if marijuana is ever legalized (which we suspect will be the case--and sooner rather than later), "Zolii" could be developed into a brand for a type of electronic joint. Regular cigarettes can now be found in electronic form, so why not pot, weed, Mary Jane, reefer, etc.?

Such an electronic joint would be a major technology breakthrough in the recreational drug and medical marijuana market because doses could be carefully regulated and could even shut down if its sensors reveal that a user is too impaired or if medical dosage is too high. Thus, the electronic marijuana cigarette market could blow wide open, and potential litigation over overdose issues could be mitigated.

If you are not the marijuana kind of business owner, it is quite possible to name your company after a lizard; if Geico can do it, so can you have a spokesanimal: in this case, a rather cute lizard called a "Zolii." According to Wikipedia, "Philochortus zolii" is a species of lizard in the Lacertidae family. It is found in Egypt and Libya, where its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland and freshwater spring.

More about the charming Zolii.

As of  8/7/2013, no trademark was found for "Zolii" or "Zol ii" in the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases.

Zogos.com -- Zogos

Zogos.com -- Zogos
_______________

True happiness comes from the joy of deeds well done, the zest of creating things new.

--Antoine de Saint-Exupery
_____________________

“Zogos” = “Logos with Zest”

Five-letter business name, possibly for a commercial artist who makes his or her living as a logo creator.

The webmaster may keep this one, especially if her logo skills keep improving and if she can find some more artist's tools for logo work.

However, a very attractive offer could persuade her to sell in a New York minute.

Some cautions: a restaurant in California is using “Zogos” as part of its business name: Zogo's Burgers. This probably will not be a problem--as long as the buyer does not use the Zogos' name for a restaurant, especially in California.

Also, there are two live trademarks for the singular “Zogo”: a skateboard  company and a mobile and wireless online carrier--this is actually good news, since the USPTO has issued trademarks to more than one business. This suggests that the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office has deemed that the term “Zogo” may be trademarked by non-competing businesses.

Zogo.com appears to be a dating site, owned by Wireless Introduction Network Corporation, the same company holding the trademark on the wireless online carrier.

As of 7/27/2013, the plural “Zogos” does not appear on USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com.

Before making an offer on this domain, be sure to do further research on possible trademark issues and conflicts.

Zaxaz.com -- Zaxaz

Zaxaz.com -- Zaxaz
_____________

When the tech geeks talk, I pay close attention.

-- Gary Vaynerchuk
__________________________

"Zaxaz" seems like a good techie name for a tech company. This name is unique in that it is a short palindrome, which means the word reads the same in reverse as it does forward. There is a sweet symmetry to such names, as depicted in the logo.

Also, short palindromes are difficult to find in .com; most of them are already registered; "Zaxaz" was acquired on the aftermarket.

One caveat: if you plan to do a lot of radio advertising, this probably isn't the right brand name for your company because it is a mouthful to pronounce. But if your company plans to do mostly visual advertising, then Zaxaz would be perfect.

As of 7/23/2013, No trademarks for Zaxaz were found on USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com.

"Zatfa" sounds a bit like "Zaftig," which refers to a woman as having a full, rounded figure; pleasingly plump.

_________________

I don't cook, not as long as they still deliver pizza.

"Za" is quickly becoming accepted as a shortened version for pizza; "zas" is the plural.

ZasGO is a natural brand name for pizzas on-the-go or a zippy name for a pizza shop/chain that specializes in fast delivery of delicious pizzas.

Let's face it: your business is never likely to own the 5-letter Pizza.com, but you can own ZasGo.com, another attractive (and much less expensive) 5-letter domain name, which incorporates "za," the increasingly popular way of saying "pizza."

Who knows? Perhaps "Let's order some ZasGo for dinner tonight!" will become part of the everyday lexicon.

The vowel-less ZZZNN breaks just about every conventional rule for branding a company or product, but, with its repeating letters, it does offer a visual appeal and is pretty clear that it has something to do with sleep and/or sleep products:

Sleep aids

Furniture
Sleep labs

The ZZZ is clear in its meaning; the NN could be the initials for your company:

Nightie-Night?
