ZolTV.com -- ZolTV or Zol TV

ZolTV.com -- ZolTV or Zol TV
____________________
Tell them about the Dream, Martin! Tell them about the Dream!
--Mahalia Jackson, American Gospel singer, to Martin Luther King, Jr., just before he delivered his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech (August 28, 1963)
__________________________________

No matter how you look at it, "Zol TV" has the potential to change the world in significant ways.

Well, perhaps not the entire world but certainly the visual media: a major TV channel, a viral internet site, perhaps even a rival to YouTube. It's short, catchy, memorable, easy on the eyes, and pronounceable. The "quaking" letters in "Zol" show exactly how we feel about this term representing a new disruptive technology.

According to the Urban Dictionary, "Zol" is South African slang for "marijuana cigarette." Could there eventually be a TV channel dedicated to this wonder weed? Who knows? We believe that marijuana, much like alcohol and tobacco, will soon be legal -- and rightly so. Over the years, marijuana has gotten a bad rap, but, in truth, it is no more dangerous than the currently legal drugs and booze -- readily available by prescription and over-the-counter. Manufactured properly, marijuana has the potential to help pain sufferers manage pain better. Even as a recreational drug, perhaps ingested rather than smoked, this plant could prove to be a lot less addictive than alcohol.

Nonetheless, while we believe that ZolTV would make a great MJ site, we recognize that buyers might have something else in mind, hence the two logos, but it was so tempting to add a leaf in that first logo (LOL).

We found no trademarks on "ZolTV," "Zol TV," "SolTV," or "Sol TV" on the USPTO.gov data base. We found various dead TMs on "Zol" and several live and dead TMs on "Sol" -- we disclose this because "Z" and "S" are next to each other on the qwerty keyboard, and "ZOL" might, in the wrong circumstances, be seen as a typo-squat of "Sol." For further TM questions, please consult with a trademark attorney.

ZUVT.com -- ZUVT

Zuvt.com -- Zuvt
__________
One out of every 100 families in Vermont was a part owner of Ben and Jerry's.
-- Jerry Greenfield
_____________________________

This sweet little name would make a great company name for a business located in Vermont (VT), which would leave "ZU" for your company name. "Zuvt" would also make a fine tech name.

For other acronyms for VT, see Acronym Finder and Acronym Attic.

There are very few acronyms for "ZU," which is actually good news because branding this will be that much easier (Acronym Attic).

In order to pass the radio test, the letters would have to be spelled out, so this is primarily a visual name: internet, TV, and print media.

No trademarks were found on USPTO.gov for "ZUVT" or related names (other than "ZU," which is not surprising given it's short length. Please conduct your own research before purchasing).

--Ogden Nash
ZooCow: a mash-up of human-behavior study and mooolgy, using bovine methodology, involving cud chewing and lackadaisical observation.
--Your webmaster
_________________________

"ZooCow" is one of those goofy terms that humor and greeting card sites (Moonpig?) seem to choose. As far as we know, there are no zoo cows, but what do we know? Yes, there have been cows in zoos, for instance, the late Aggie, but no animal species called by this term.

We acquired this domain simply because it created an earworm in our collective head--GAHHH, get out, get out!--not because of its amazing stats.

But, then, if you were looking for natural high-traffic domain names, you wouldn't be here, now would you?

Once you hear it, ZooCow is a term that a listener will not soon forget, which makes it a great term for a potentially high-traffic website. We can't promise that ZooCow will be the road to your financial success, but we can say that this domain has all the characteristics of a fine brandable domain.

It passes the radio test with flying colors, while also being a visual name, ready for internet, TV, and print media advertising.

"ZooCow" and "Zoo Cow" do not appear on the USPTO.gov data base. Neither do typos "SooCow" and "Soo Cow."

Be quick to learn and wise to know.
-- George Burns

"ZipSwift," consisting of two root words ("Zip" and "Swift"), creates the impression that your company means business, either in manufacturing or delivering a service, and conducts business in a fast and timely manner -- for example, from zippy and fast hardware and software to swift pizza delivery.

We can also envision the term being used as a brand name for one of those new-fangled 3-D printers.

"ZipSwift" and Zip Swift" have not been found on the USPTO.gov data base.

Zilea.com -- Zilea

Zilea.com -- Zilea
___________
Each generation wants new symbols, new people, new names. They want to divorce themselves from their predecessors.
-- Jim Morrison (The Doors)

_________________________

"Zilea" suggests a feminine name, either for a company run by women or a company that manufactures products for women.

Zilea could also represent a news/celebrity/gossip website designed to appeal to women and covering women's issues.

Zilea is also a lovely choice for a girl's name; it sounds feminine, while, at the same time, offers a snappy "Z" beginning; bestowing your daughter with a strong name sets her on the right path for her life and success.

First-name dotcom domains are getting more difficult to acquire, especially short, pronounceable names. Many new parents are naming their children based on the availability of first name dotcoms, most likely finding them on the aftermarket. Unless you are fabulously wealthy, your acquiring a common first name for $X,XXX is highly unlikely.

No trademark on "Zilea," or any variation of this term, was found at USPTO.gov. However, we did find a mark for "Silea" (furniture). There is also a commune in France bearing the name "Silea." We disclose this information because "Z" is next to "S" on the qwerty keyboard, and used in the wrong manner, "Zilea" could be considered a typo of "Silea." So if you plan to manufacture furniture or start a commune, you might want to find another name. Otherwise, you should be okay. For more info on trademarks, please consult with a trademark lawyer.

Ziqus.com -- Ziqus (ziQus)

Ziqus.com -- Ziqus
________
Avoid demonizing television, computer games, and new technologies. Electronic media may compete for kids' attention, but we're not going to get kids reading by badmouthing other entertainment. Admit that TV and games can do things books can't.
-- Jon Scieszka
______________________________

"Ziqus" or "ziQus" suggests a type of video game or playful company name. Capitalizing the "Q" really makes this name pop visually -- never underestimate the power of "Q" in a product or company name. This Q works especially well because of the organic "u" that follows it, for (in English), "u" almost always follows "q."

This name also follows the "consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant" pattern, a very desirable configuration for products and company names.

This name sort of passes the radio test, although listeners might hear and see "zikus" or "zicus"; but if you are selling computer games, you won't be advertising on radio, now will you? Ziqus works best as a visual name in visual media: internet, TV, billboard, magazines, etc.

One of the best aspects: Ziqus does not appear on the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases, nor does there seem to be any ancillary marks to worry about.

Zedona.com -- Zedona

Zedona.com -- Zedona

On Approaching Sedona

Unexpected rise:
Landscape on nature’s canvas,
Vortex in red rock.
_________________________

"Zedona" is a cool wordplay on the city of Sedona, a lovely place that will absolutely take your breath away, should you be so lucky to visit there. It is a city of red rocks, vortexes, hiking, shopping, visiting, lodging, rock hounding, attractions, fine dining -- anything having to do with tourism.

Zedona.com could be a go-to site for all that is Sedona. As of this posting (August 13, 2013), Sedona.com, Sedona.net, and Sedona.org are not being used as city directories or tourist bureaus for Sedona but are in use for unrelated purposes (Disclaimer: Sedona.co, Sedona.biz, and Sedona.us are Sedona-related).

On its own terms, Zedona is just one of those terms that begs to be developed into something important and profitable, lending itself to being a catchy and memorable company or brand name.

We are surprised that this appealing domain has not yet found its niche.

Zedona is also a girl's name; in today's domain name market, registering a common first-name dotcom for a newborn is impossible, but unusual first names are still within financial reach. Acquiring a beautiful name like Zedona.com on the aftermarket is an option that could save you money in the long run.

No trademarks on "Zedona" were found on the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases.

Price: $7,995.00
(Includes domain and logo.)

The moon does not get wet, nor is the water broken.
Although its light is wide and great,
The moon is reflected even in a puddle an inch wide.
The whole moon and the entire sky
Are reflected in one dewdrop on the grass.
--Dogen Zenji (19 January 1200 – 22 September 1253)

____________________________

"ZenFair" or "Zen Fair" is a brandable term, created by a marriage of two generic words, much like "Facebook."

We envision a Zen Fair as an event that emphasizes the sale of crystals, rocks, gems, and minerals. Such a fair could also draw in customers who are seeking a more contemplative life and providers, such as Fortune Tellers and Tarot Readers, who are offering services that will help customers find their inner peace and life direction.

This could also be a developed website offering the above through a virtual store.

The terms "ZenFair" and "Zen Fair" were not found in the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases.

Zestina.com -- Zestina

Zestina.com -- Zestina
_________________

"Zestina" is a play on the word "Sestina," which is a 39-line non-rhyming (typically) poem with a specific form consisting of 6 6-line stanzas and 1 3-line stanza called the envoy. In each stanza, the end-words are repeated and arranged in the following form:
1 2 3 4 5 6
6 1 5 2 4 3
3 6 4 1 2 5
5 3 2 6 1 4
4 5 1 3 6 2
2 4 6 5 3 1
1 2
3 4
5 6
For the envoy, there is some debate regarding how the end-words should be arranged--one text* says that 5 3, 1 2, 4 6 should be followed--but others often disagree and cite the repetition of the first stanza as the gold standard. And, then, poets (who generally follow their own muse) often have their own ideas as to how the overall form will play out in their own poems (poetic license).

"Zestina" could be a comprehensive poetry site dedicated to the tricky Sestina. Unfortunately, there is little profit in such heady and literary sites--such a site would have to be a labor of love, and, unfortunately, we cannot sell at "labor of love" costs.

However, the term itself suggests a colorful and lively website, perhaps in the tech department. Who doesn't like a zesty website with literary overtones? There is no law that says the owner must use this as a poetry site.

Perhaps the owner could develop a poetry word tumbler, or if you are especially talented in coding, a sestina tumbler: the user plugs in six words, desired order for envoy, and parameters regarding use of each word (for example, use as a root word), and Voila! A computer-generated sestina!

The term "Zestina" has not been found in the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases.

ZooZity.com -- ZooZity or Zoo Zity

ZooZity.com -- ZooZity or Zoo Zity
_____________________

If it weren't for baseball, many kids wouldn't know what a millionaire looked like.

-- Phyllis Diller

______________________

The CEO of Brands Z grew up in Sioux City, Iowa; as a child, she and her friends often lovingly referred to Sioux City as "Zoo City" or "Zoo Zity," so the term has been kid-tested for appeal, memorability, and cuteness. Also, the double "Z" offers a catchy buzziness that kids tend to love.

A Sioux City start-up business could do very well with this name because of its catchy rhyme to the city name and overall regional appeal.

"ZooZity" would be perfect for a children's retail store, product line, or service: clothing, games, toys, shoes, daycare center, and kid-themed restaurant (where giddy kids can find a meetup place filled with other giddy kids, fun foods, playground equipment, party events, and games).

A caution, however: if you plan to open a pet store, you should be aware that there is a ZooZity pet store in Denmark, doing business under what is known as an unregistered or "natural" trademark. In that case, you should definitely check with a trademark lawyer regarding regional use of a non-generic term or find another name for your pet store. If you are located or doing business in Denmark, you should probably look for another name.

Good news for everyone else, though: ZooZity and Zoo Zity do not appear in in the USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com data bases, so you would likely be okay for most uses. If you are not certain, check with a trademark lawyer before purchasing.

ZZZyou.com -- ZZZyou or ZZZ you

ZZZyou.com -- ZZZyou or ZZZ You
_____________
If you're going to do something tonight that you'll be sorry for tomorrow morning, sleep late.
-- Henny Youngman
_______________________________

"ZZZ You" can mean only one thing: comfortable sleep and all that contributes to that goal.

This is one of the best sleep names on the market because the brand (with an emphasis on "you") hones in on what is most important: your customers' well-being and happiness. If your customers are happy, then so is your company and its profit margins.

Also, the "ZZZ you" is a wordplay of and pun on the familiar "See you." Therefore, this should be considered a visual as opposed to an aural brand name. "ZZZ you" might be difficult to advertise on the radio, unless the speaker spells out each "Z." Because it is such a short name and the "ZZZ" a familiar symbol for sleep, this is not a major impediment, but the wordplay and pun may be muted on radio spots.

This is essentially a TV, Internet, and billboard name.

The domain itself has had only one owner, so you can be assured that ZZZyou.com has no unfavorable history with former owners. This means that Google, Bing, and Yahoo are likely to offer ZZZyou.com the search engine love that it deserves.

Your tech department can easily verify the domain history.

No trademarks were found for this term at USPTO.gov or Trademarkia.com
